Founded by my father in 1979, our company began with humble roots. He grew up in a small town in India with very little money or family support. In the 1970s, he moved to Canada seeking a better life. Without a business degree, he brought a natural talent for fashion and a deep connection to India.
He had a vision: to share clothing that reflected the culture he knew intimately with his new home. Through long nights, a refusal to accept failure, and learning from his mistakes, he turned his vision into a successful and trusted business.
From the beginning, his focus has been and continues to be on quality, craftsmanship, and uniqueness. Rather than importing items anyone could source, he emphasized traditional Indian designs with a modern twist and exceptional workmanship. Today, we continue to collaborate with manufacturers and design teams in India, creating clothing that reflects that same vision.
Our clothing is carefully crafted, from the prints we select to the designs, size specifications, and cuts. We listen closely to our customers and continually introduce new items. We travel throughout India twice a year to ensure quality and discover new prints, designs, techniques, and products.
With our ties to India, we have also developed strong partnerships with manufacturers in China. Through these connections, we source a wide range of products for our customers, including scarves, throws, figurines, cushions, furniture, bedspreads, clothing, and carpets.
Our clothing and home décor have been sold across Canada, the United States, and Latin America. Some products, like our velvet meditation cushions, have been best-sellers for over 30 years.
